The Craft

The floral panel at the centre is hand-painted in coloured clay, while the blue surround is set entirely in mirror work using the Lippan Kaam technique from Kutch, Gujarat. The mirrors along the border catch light as the bag moves, making it particularly beautiful in motion. The blue leather handle and trim are carefully matched to the painted background, a considered detail that elevates the whole piece.
