The rose is a universal symbol of love, of beauty, of things worth taking time over. On the Rose Garden Potli, a full bloom in soft pink with green leaves is hand-painted on a disc of woven mirror work, equally at home at a dinner party or a cultural celebration.
The Craft
The circular Lippan disc features a hand-painted rose motif surrounded by a fine diamond-grid mirror mosaic, hundreds of tiny mirrors set by hand using the Lippan Kaam technique from Kutch, Gujarat. The rose is painted in coloured clay, its petals built up in gentle layers before the mirrors are pressed into place around it. The white fabric drum body is clean and minimal by contrast, letting the disc speak.

Care
