The satchel you hold began as Kauna grass growing along the margins of Manipur's wetlands - harvested, dried and woven by hand by farming community artisans who have built their livelihood around this material. Kauna grass is completely natural, fully biodegradable, and regrows each season. The floral embroidery across the front was stitched after the bag structure was complete: thread by thread, bloom by bloom, by the artisan's own hand.
