Joyful, sunlit and deeply intricate, the Sunflower Mandala Potli is the most cheerful bag in our collection. A mandala in buttercup yellow and dusty pink radiates outward on the circular Lippan disc, a motif that rural artisans have painted on walls and doorways in Kutch for generations to welcome guests.
The Craft
The disc is built from the centre outward: a large central mirror is surrounded by hand-painted petal forms, then rings of outlined shapes, then an outer border of teardrops in pink, all set in the traditional Lippan Kaam clay-and-mirror technique from Gujarat. The centrepiece mirror at the very heart of the design catches light in all directions, making this bag come alive as you move.

Care
The fabric top can be gently spot-cleaned with a damp cloth. The Lippan base panel should be wiped dry only, do not machine wash. Store flat in the dust bag when not in use. The large central mirror may attract fingerprints, clean gently with a dry soft cloth.
